2023 PONY EXPRESS - SENIOR 5 HOUR & JUNIOR CROSS COUNTRY & Mini Enduro

2023 Calendar: NO CALENDAR SET yet

We are getting closer to renewing our enduro tracks, as our DA had expired and renewal process last year has been protracted. Our first event will be for SENIORS ONLY, as we have insufficient officials.

We will update calendar and our FaceBook page when we have any dates!

Memberships can still be renewed via Ridernet.

What’s Required

MEMBERSHIPS (renew or join)

ENTER EVENTS– Note: you can only see our events once you are a Denman club member– entry available usually about 2 weeks prior to event.

PURCHASE ONE-EVENT (DAY) LICENCE – buy it with your entry!

You will still need to present at sign-on with your licence (or day licence paperwork) and money (if required - for enviro mat or numbers).

GENERAL: Please read Race Day Requirements and Club Info pages and follow our easy to follow guide AM I RIDE READY page.

WEATHER: if in doubt, click on WEATHER tab (top right corner). Note it could be raining where you are but not here! Also, if in drought it may be too dry to hold an event.

FACEBOOK: Check our DMCC FaceBook page for any last minute chages.

BIKES: this event is entirely on private property and RTA registration not required.

RACE NUMBER: Rider numbers must be unique as we do manual scoring.

TEAMS: each bike has own number, except where bike is shared. Teams (5 hours): 2 riders / 1 bike or 2 riders / 2 bikes

CLASSES: Expert, Clubman, O’35, Masters (O’45) OR Ironman Class (4 hrs). New class: VINTAGE (normal forks, drum rear brake - about pre-1985). Maybe new class? (e.g. 3 team 100). Classes may be combined if insufficient entries.

JUNIORS: (individual, not pony express, aged 7+) 65cc/125F (1.5 hours), 85cc/150F (2 hours), 200cc/250F (2.5 hours)

Mini Enduro: Demo class for kids 4 to U9 on 500m track

COURSE: about 13km long seniors, cross country course varying natural terrain—grassy paddock, tree covered hilly and some rocky sections; You will need to refuel!! Separate 8km course for juniors (with 65cc juniors ~2km cut-off).

CATERING currently not available.

AWARDS. Place ribbons will be awarded at each round. All junior riders receive a participation ribbon. Please join in.
