Help Your Club
Helping – events don’t self-generate – volunteers make it happen – your help is always appreciated! Here are just some ways you can help:
- Working Bees precede all DMCC club events on the Saturday, plus others scheduled at meetings.
All our events are held on private property and as such everything is temporary – i.e. needs to be set up and removed for each race day. - At working bees we do course/section setting/marking and pit area set up.
- We welcome any help – more hands make light work!
- Club Meetings it’s your club, you’re always welcome!
- General meetings held every 2nd Thursday of the month at Denman RSL Club at 7.30 pm.
- AGM in February – held at Denman Anglican Parish Hall at 7.30 pm.
Helping on Race Days
Help is needed on the day – the more who help – the less time we all have to do it for! We need: marshals, observers, scorers, sweep riders and at day’s end help to pack up.
Member Commitment
We greatly appreciate member commitment in helping our sport and club
- those who are licensed officials,
- those who come to working bees to set trials sections, grass track courses and those who spend many weekends setting XCountry courses and also
- those who observe, marshal, score, or sweep at our club days.
THANK YOU!
We Need More Club Officials!
No event can run without the key officials: Steward, Clerk of Course, Race Secretary and Scrutineer.
All of these dedicated people have done the accredited courses so that you can enjoy riding.
We have very few of these accredited officials and should any be sick or otherwise unable to attend – the race day is off......... Please consider helping your club. Thanks!!
Gaining accreditation as an Official is now easier than ever! Click to start: MNSW Officials Start here
The MNSW Officials Accreditation Scheme has been updated with a view to educate and accredit an increased number of volunteers. The Level 1 Operational Official course is now available as an online presentation, meaning you can do the course, take the short assessment and complete your application online at home.
Congratulations! A Level 1 Operational Official's Licence allows you to officiate at club level events.
Operational Officials include Flag marshals, Observers, Timekeepers, Judges, Starters etc. Having an Operational Official's licence is not mandatory to help, but is highly recommended to understand the role you perform.
Once you have achieved the accreditation through the successful completion L1 Operational course, you can then proceed onto accreditation as a Key Official (Scrutineer, Race Secretary, Clerk of Course & Steward). These are now regularly held as Zoom (video from home) meetings. Register your interest with Motorcycling NSW.
